My name is Bob Malcolm. I graduated in 1976. I lived on Park ave, just around the corner from school. I can always remember those fire drills we use to have, don't run keep your hands to your sides. I always joke about how mean they were, by todays standards they would be in jail. But I know if they did not teach that way we would be the ones in jail. I do thank them for that. I have so many memories, I would typing all night. Because we were their favorite group to call upon and ask for our assistance(Because we were such nice Catholic boys)I would like to see some of my old class mates

I'm from the Malcolm family on Park Ave. I had 4 brothers: Steve, Jim, Bob & Pat. Steve and I had a lot of memories of St. Stephens and the friends. When he'd call me from his home in Alabama we'd be on the phone for hours talking about friends and school. There are just too many memories to pick just one. One is the nun in 5th grade who just sat at the desk all day and we basically had to teach ourselves; I just can't remember her name. My grandson loves to hear about her; he'd love to have a teacher like that. Will look forward to a reunion in the future.

I graduated from St. Stephen's in 1967. I'm one of the Wrights from Park Avenue. And I have many fond memories of grade school. Especially playing stick ball in the schoolyard with Sister Catherine Ann and the other younger nuns. We had a great time! I also remember nuns putting kids in the desk well when they had had enough of them! We had one nun (I think it was Sister Anna Dolores) who used to make us hold out our hands to get smacked with her ruler. If you tried to remove your hand, you got cracked on the fingertips! And that really hurt. The smart kids learned fast to put your hand way out, it made for a difficult target! Those memories astound my kids, they think I've flipped when I laugh about it now. Looking forward to information about another reunion.

I was from the class of 1966. Remember the dismissal lines? Pike #1, Pike #2, Pike #3 and Butler #1, Butler #2, and Butler #3. I was from Pike 3. How about others? What was your line? Might be fun at the reunion to organize by these numbers. I went home for lunch everyday and always wondered about the experiences of those who brought their lunch and stayed at School to eat?? I remember all the great years I spent at St. Stephens. I graduated in 1960 and the nun I remember most of all was Sister Teresia, my first grad nun. All the nuns were great and we were so lucky to have the most wonderful p***. Can't wait for the reunion.

I graduated from Saint Stephens’s in 1971 after transferring to the school from Wright Elementary in the fifth grade. My memories are a mixture of sights and sounds. The sounds of the hand bell ringing for us to form class lines in the yard to go into school; the sound of the ‘clicker’ at Sunday mass to tell us to sit or stand; the view of the church from the choir loft with Sr. Claire Donald conducting; the look on Sr. Anna Dolores’s face when someone crossed her; the smell of spaghetti whenever I went to the convent for guitar lessons. Thanks to Diana for getting this together. I look forward to the reunion dinner.

Hi All, I graduated from St. Stephen's in 1952 and like Diane, I remember the Caulfields also. I was friends with Eileen. Some of my funniest memories are of Sister Aquinas when we were in the 6th grade. She was having some hip problems that year and used a cane to get around. She also used the cane handle to hook the boys collars when they were trying to get away from her. Another thing she used to do to the boys was make them sit under the knee well of her desk when she got really annoyed with them so she wouldn't have to look at them. We used to laugh about it on the way home but we all know if anyone tried those things today they would probably land in jail.
One of my favorite nuns was Sister Agnes Patricia (Aggie Pat) who we were lucky enough to have for 8th grade. When you were in 8th grade if you were very good, you got to go and clean the convent on Friday afternoons. Today's kids get paid for setting up chairs for meetings in our parish but we were honored to do anything like that for free. Wouldn't trade those days for anything. Thanks Diana for doing this and waking up all our old memories.

I was part of the 50th reunion class of 1956, we had our reunion in March 2006, Mary Weldon and Joan Wendell organized the event, we had a great turnout, I was contacted by Diane about a whole school reunion which I though was a great idea, at least all your Brothers and Sisters can come as well, Diane is doing a good job trying to organize this new event, I'm very sure she would appreciate any help you may give her, even if it's just to make some phone calls. when I got involved last year I was extremwely disappointed that our school and fabulous church are no more. however we the students and facility are still around to keep the memory alive. so come out, volunteer and be part of a very special event.

I went to st stephens from 1950 to 1956 left after sixth grade when we moved.I loved st stephen's.I remember sr.joan bridgett ,sr. rita margaret,sr.ann patrice.sr.marie virgo,sr. marie assumpta,sr.clarannice.i remember the caufields,the whalens,joan flanagan, sandra sheean,& a bunch of other people.I don't know if anyone knew that sr.marie virgo had a cat & nine tails in the coat closet & she would use it on the boys when they where bad.remember having the nuns pull our cheeks ,hair & ears when we where bad.I had to stay everyday for lunch because i lived at 15th & clearfield st.We used to have so much fun at recess & in the school yard .Remember the things they sold at recess? Grade school was the best.I am really looking forward to this reunion.It's going to be a lot of fun.Looking forward to seeing everyone.
